This is a reminder to those who have not confirmed their title and abstract. Please do so soon as we hope to begin scheduling the different sessions. The conference has attracted a large number of papers, and participants can be assured of lively and wide ranging few days. For those who have already confirmed their abstract, many thanks. Keynote speaker: We are pleased to announce that the Goethe Society has agreed to bring Dr Ulrich Konrad from the University of Wuerzberg to the conference. His topic will be 'Johann Sebastian Bach in Schubert's Vienna', the role of Bach's person and his works in the musical culture of a later time and place. Accommodation: We would like to encourage conference participants to book their accommodation early, either at the university hostel (see msa website details) or through the city accommodation website (also see msa website for address). The date for the world premier of the third film of The Lord of The Rings has been announced as 1st of December, just after our conference finishes. This will put considerable pressure on Wellington accommodation. We note a small problem with the registration form missing information concerning accommodation at Weir House (the student hostel). We apologise for the mistake -- this will be fixed. Please contact us if you have already submitted a registration form and are hoping to stay at Weir House.
