Gordon Spearritt Prize
The Gordon Spearritt Prize is awarded for the best student
presentation at the annual Student Symposium and Member's Day. It is named
in honour of distinguished musicologist Gordon Spearritt, who is a former
President of the MSA, and also former Head of Music at the University
of Queensland (now-retired). In particular, it recognises his strong and
continuing support of music research in Queensland. Each year, the winner/s
are awarded a monetary prize.
