Student Symposium and Member's Day

Each year MSAQ holds a Student Symposium and Member's Day, which is designed to provide a forum for graduate research in musicology, and music research more broadly.

In addition, it also offers members of the music research community a place to meet and converse in a collegial atmosphere.

The symposium is generally named each year according to a theme or broad topic area, although papers tend to cover the entire gamut of music research. Past topic areas have included Music and Power, Music and the Body, and Music Down Under.
