Full Registration (3 days)

Full registration entitles delegates to the following:

  • Entry to all Parallel Sessions, Keynote, and Plenary Sessions
  • All official documentation including Program
  • Morning and afternoon teas
  • Lunches

*Student Eligibility

Any student who is enrolled at a recognised Australian or international tertiary institution at the time the conference is convened is eligible for the discounted rate. Students will be asked to provide their student ID Number and Institution at time of registration.


Any person holding a Government issued concession card - Card holders will be required to provide card number and expiry at time of registration. Concession holder Presenters must also be MSA Members.


Any person granted MSA Emeritus Membership status by the MSA National Committee (must be current MSA Members)

**Indigenous Symposium - Community Research Collaborator

Individuals associated with the 18th Symposium on Indigenous Music and Dance, excluding those employed by a university, lead presenters and those identifying as Indigenous (see next item for indigenous delegates)

***Non-university employed Indigenous delegate

Any person identifying as an indigenous person may attend the conference free, but must register. For example any person identifying as an Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander or Maori may select this registration type. Indigenous Presenters must still become MSA Members. Contact organiser to obtain registration instructions.


Single Day Registration

Day Registrants will be asked to nominate the day that they will be attending when completing their registration. Day delegates are entitled to the following:

  • Entry to all Parallel Sessions, Keynote, and Plenary Sessions on the nominated day
  • All official documentation including Program
  • Morning and afternoon tea and lunch on the nominated day

Important Registration, Payment & Cancellation Information

Payment Online

Online registration is preferred. The booking form will be available from 21 August 2019 to register and book dinner and concerts. Payment is via PayPal but does not require a PayPal account. You may pay by Amex, MasterCard or Visa or from your PayPAL account.

Other Payment Methods

Please contact the Organising Committee by email should you wish to arrange another payment method.

All payments by cheque incur a $10.00 processing fee. Cheque payments will only be accepted up until 21 November 2019. After this date, all registrations and accommodation bookings must be submitted online unless other arrangements have been made.

Cheques are to be made payable to Musicological Society of Australia and must be posted to GJ Breyley, Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, 55 Scenic Boulevard, Monash University Vic 3800, together with details of the items that are being paid for. Your name, full postal address, and email address should be printed clearly on the back of the cheque. Cheque payments from overseas must be a bank cheque in Australian Dollars drawn on an Australian Bank. No other currency will be accepted.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be notified by email to the Organising Committee.

Registration Fees:

  • On or Before 11 November cancellation will incur a A$10.00 processing fee.
  • After 11 November, cancellation will incur a A$30 cancellation fee.

Dinner: Payments are non-refundable after 18 November 2019.
